| Reverse description | The full-length figure of Saint Andrew stands facing, bearded and nimbed, his body partially obscured by the large diagonal saltire cross upon which he was martyred, which he grasps with both hands. The date is divided by the saint's figure, with the last two digits appearing on either side of the cross in the field. A circular Latin legend reading MONO COM DE HONSTEIN with the abbreviated year runs around the periphery within a beaded border, as visible on the 1557-dated example. |
