| Obverse description | Draped bust of Sigismund Ludwig, Count of Dietrichstein, facing right, wearing a lace collar and armor, with long flowing hair and a short beard, typical of mid-17th century noble portraiture. The date appears in the lower field beneath the bust. A circular legend surrounds the portrait, reading SIGIS LVDOVICVS COMES A DIETRICHSTAIN, separated by stops. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the costume and facial features. The entire design is contained within a beaded inner border. |
