Reverse description The arms of the Bishopric of Münster occupy the central field, depicted as a quartered shield: the upper half bearing the figure of Saint Paul seated with a halo, holding a sword and a book, and the lower half plain. The shield is surmounted by ornate scrollwork and flanked by elaborate baroque cartouche supporters. The date 1650 is divided across the lower flanks of the shield, with the mintmaster's initials EK placed below in the exergue area. A Latin circular legend between two beaded borders proclaims the Sede Vacante coinage of the Münster Chapter.
