Obverse description Half-length armored effigy of Emperor Rudolf II facing right, wearing a crown and full plate armor, his right hand raised and bearing a sceptre over his shoulder while his left hand holds the imperial orb. The portrait is rendered in a detailed Renaissance style typical of late 16th-century imperial coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy within the coin's field.
