Reverse description Central quartered coat of arms of the Bishopric of Passau, surmounted by a princely crown and flanked by elaborate Baroque scrollwork cartouche. The shield displays the heraldic emblems of the see, with an episcopal cross and mitre appearing above. The date appears at the top of the field within the legend. A continuous Latin legend in raised lettering encircles the design along the outer border, asserting the bishop's dignity as a Prince of the Holy Roman Empire and his comital family name of Rabatta. The inner border features a ring of beading matching the obverse.
