Obverse description Half-length armored effigy of Count Philipp V of Hanau-Lichtenberg facing right, clad in elaborately detailed plate armor with gorget and pauldrons visible. The figure is depicted in a commanding posture, occupying the central field of the coin. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, commencing with the count's titles and territorial designations. The portrait is rendered in the bold, high-relief style characteristic of late 16th-century German taler coinage.
