Obverse description Draped bust of Duke Peter von Biron facing right, with powdered wig styled in the late 18th-century fashion, tied at the nape with a ribbon and flowing queue. The portrait is rendered in a refined neoclassical style with fine detail on the hair curls and drapery folds at the truncation. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy along the periphery, separated from the coin's reeded border by a narrow flat rim.
