| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a large quartered coat of arms of the Mansfeld counts, elaborately adorned with Renaissance scrollwork and mantling. Two ornate crested helmets surmount the shield, with the last two numerals of the date placed between them in the upper field, flanked by the mintmaster's initials. A Latin legend in majuscule letters encircles the entire design within a beaded border, naming the four co-ruling counts Peter Ernest, Bruno, Gebhard, and John George. |
