| Obverse description | The obverse displays the heraldic eagle of the Free City of Frankfurt in high relief, rendered in a detailed Neo-Gothic style with spread wings, the head turned to the right, and elaborate foliate scroll work at the base. The eagle's plumage is finely engraved with individual feathers clearly delineated throughout the wings and body. The legend FREIE STADT is inscribed in the upper arc and FRANKFURT in the lower arc, both separated from the central device by a beaded border that runs along the coin's periphery. |
