Obverse description Full-length effigy of Archduke Maximilian III standing facing three-quarters left, clad in full plate armor and mantle, bareheaded with great helm displayed to his right and a crowned lion supporting a shield of the Austrian arms to his left. The Archduke grasps a sword in his right hand, and the cross of the Teutonic Order is prominently displayed on his breastplate. A beaded inner circle, interspersed with foliate ornaments, frames the figure and interacts with the peripheral Latin legend.
