| Obverse description | Armored bust of Archduke Maximilian III of Austria facing right, wearing elaborately etched plate armor with a ruff collar and a prominent Order of the Golden Fleece pendant at the chest. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail characteristic of early seventeenth-century Hall mint craftsmanship. The date 1613 is divided by the bust, with '16' to the left and '13' to the right. The portrait is framed by an inner wreath of laurel-like sprigs and an outer beaded border. The encircling Latin legend reads: MAXIMILIANVS:DG:ARCH:AV:DVX:BVRG:STIR:CARIN. |

| Reverse description | Large quartered coat of arms of the Habsburg territories surmounted by an imperial crown, supported by elaborate baroque scrollwork flanking the shield. The four quarters display the arms of Austria (horizontal bars), Burgundy (diagonal stripes), and additional territorial arms including an eagle and a rampant lion, with a central escutcheon bearing the imperial eagle. The shield is rendered in fine relief with a rope-like inner border. The encircling Latin legend continues the titulature from the obverse, reading: ET:CARN:MAG:PRVSS:AD COMES:HAB:ET:TIROL, with mint marks flanking the base of the legend. |
