Reverse description The crowned Virgin Mary, nimbed with a radiate halo and seated upon clouds, occupies the central field in a majestic frontal composition. She holds the Christ Child on her left arm, the Child raising his right hand in blessing and holding an orb; the Virgin holds a sceptre in her right hand. The figures are rendered in high relief with fine drapery detail, reflecting the Baroque artistic style prevalent in Counter-Reformation Bavaria. A beaded inner circle encloses the devotional image, while the Latin motto legend encircles the design within the milled outer border.
