Reverse description Armoured equestrian figure of the Emperor riding to the left atop a caparisoned horse, holding a lance or baton, surrounded by a circle of twelve heraldic shields representing the territorial possessions and dignities of the Order and its administrator. The date 1603 is inscribed in the lower field, divided by the horse's legs, with a large quartered coat of arms — incorporating the Teutonic cross and eagle — displayed prominently at the bottom. The entire composition is set within a beaded border, with no peripheral legend.
