Reverse description A jousting or tournament shield, bearing the combined arms of Saluzzo, Foix, and Béarn divided per pale, suspended by straps from the bare, uprooted, and leafless branches of a tree rendered prominently in the center of the field. Perched among the upper branches is a dove facing left, a devotional symbol of peace and divine protection. The composition is characteristic of late-medieval Italian heraldic numismatic design, with the armorial shield serving as the primary device. The circumferential Latin legend, drawn from Psalm 94, encircles the design between a beaded inner border and the outer rim.
