Perched among the upper branches is a dove facing left, a devotional symbol of peace and divine protection. The composition is characteristic of late-medieval Italian heraldic numismatic design, with the armorial shield serving as the primary device. The circumferential Latin legend, drawn from Psalm 94, encircles the design between a beaded inner border and the outer rim. |
