| Obverse description | Central shield bearing an eightfold quartered coat of arms surmounted by three elaborate crested helmets, the middle helmet flanked by feathers with the date divided to either side, and a small imperial orb above the central shield. The surrounding circular legend in Latin records the titles of the four co-ruling counts of Stolberg. The composition is rendered in the bold, high-relief engraving style characteristic of late sixteenth-century German hammered thalers. |

| Reverse description | A finely detailed stag passant to the left, depicted standing on naturalistic groundwork with tufts of grass and foliage beneath its hooves, all set within an inner beaded circle. The surrounding border carries a continuous Latin legend in uppercase lettering recording the continuation of the counts' titles, partially legible as COMIT DO STOLB WERNIGE. The overall design is typical of the heraldic reverse type employed on Stolberg County thalers of the late sixteenth century. |
