Reverse description The arms of the Duchy of Arenberg displayed on an ornate oval shield bearing three fleurs-de-lis arranged two over one, set against a horizontally lined field. The shield is supported by two heraldic beasts — a rampant lion to the left and an eagle displayed to the right — flanking the central escutcheon beneath an elaborate ducal crown surmounted by a small cross. Decorative drapery and foliate mantling surround the composition. The date 1785 appears divided across the upper field on either side of the crown, while the lower legend X • EINE * MARCK • F • indicates the fineness standard of ten to the Cologne mark.
