Reverse description Crowned composite arms of the Habsburg dynasty displayed at centre, bearing a small inescutcheon of Tyrol (the Tirolean eagle) at the heart of the shield. The achievement is encircled by the chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece, all within a beaded inner circle. The date 1698 appears within the reverse legend, which enumerates the Emperor's principal titles. The heraldic composition is executed in the elaborate Baroque style typical of late seventeenth-century Austrian thalers.
