Obverse description Central quartered coat of arms of Bishop Johann Philipp von Lamberg, surmounted by an ornate princely crown and flanked by elaborate baroque cartouche scrollwork. The shield displays the episcopal and personal arms of the Lamberg family. A circular beaded inner border frames the design, with the legend distributed around the periphery.

Reverse description Full-length facing figure of Saint Stephen, patron of Passau Cathedral, nimbed and vested in ecclesiastical robes, holding a martyr's palm frond in his right hand and a stone in his left, with arms slightly outstretched. A small episcopal shield bearing the Passau lion is positioned in the lower field beneath the saint's feet, flanked by the date 16-94 split on either side. A beaded inner border surrounds the design, with the circular legend running in the outer field.
