Reverse description Reverse centred on a prominent stepped pyramid in high relief, its surface finely hatched to suggest stonework, with rays emanating from the apex. At the lower centre of the pyramid, two crowned oval shields bearing the Saxon arms are displayed side by side within ornate baroque frames, separated by the pyramid's central ridge. The lower field features additional heraldic and decorative elements including scrollwork and the mintmaster's initials 'IK' within a cartouche. A Latin legend encircles the upper rim recording the dedication by Elector Frederick Augustus, brother of the deceased. The design as a whole exemplifies the elaborate commemorative thaler tradition of the Saxon electoral court.
