Reverse description The elaborately quartered coat of arms of the Electorate of Saxony, incorporating the arms of Saxony (barry of ten or and sable with a crancelin), Julich, Cleve, Berg, Mark, Ravensberg, and other dynastic territories, surmounted by a row of multiple crowned helmets with their respective crests in the Baroque heraldic style. The shield is flanked by ornate scrollwork and supported by decorative mantling. The date appears within the circumferential Latin legend that encircles the entire design.
