Obverse description Saint George depicted as an armored knight on horseback, charging to the right and thrusting a lance downward to slay a large dragon coiled beneath the horse's hooves. The composition fills the field in a dynamic Renaissance style, with the saint's cloak billowing behind him. A wreath border frames the central design, and the circular legend running around the periphery names the three co-ruling counts in abbreviated Latin.
