Obverse description Two confronted draped busts facing one another at center, both rendered in high relief with elaborate ruffled collars characteristic of early 17th-century portraiture; the figure at left faces right and the figure at right faces left, with a crowned orb or decorative element visible between their heads. The surrounding legend, written in Latin, is interrupted by five small shielded armorial escutcheons distributed at intervals around the periphery. The date appears in the lower portion of the field. The overall style reflects the workshop traditions of Saxon-Anhalt coinage of the period.
