| Obverse description | Armored bust of Duke John Frederick I of Württemberg facing right, wearing a cuirass with ornate detailing and a ruffled collar visible at the neck. The hair is shown in loose curls. The peripheral legend runs clockwise around the bust, divided by the portrait, reading the duke's titles in abbreviated Latin. The field is plain silver with a beaded inner border and a toothed outer border characteristic of hammered coinage of the early seventeenth century. |

| Reverse description | Quartered coat of arms of Württemberg displayed on an ornate baroque shield, surmounted by a ducal crown. The quarters display the traditional Württemberg stag antlers and the lozengy pattern of Teck, along with other heraldic elements of the ducal house. Decorative scrollwork and foliate mantling flank the shield on both sides. The date appears in the upper field flanking the crown. The peripheral legend in Latin records the minting privilege, running around the inner beaded border. |
