| Reverse description | A large, elaborately quartered coat of arms of Brunswick-Lüneburg, surmounted by an Electoral-style ducal crown, occupies the central field. The multi-quarterings display the lions of Brunswick and Lüneburg, the horse of Westphalia, the eagle of the Holy Roman Empire arms, and other heraldic charges associated with the ducal house, all rendered with fine engraving detail. A beaded inner border surrounds the design. The Latin motto EX DURIS GLORIA arches across the upper field, with ANNO and the regnal year flanking the shield. |
