Obverse description Central field occupied by a large, elaborately quartered coat of arms of Brunswick-Lüneburg, supported on either side by wild men (Wildmänner) as heraldic supporters. Above the shield, three crowned helmets bear the dynastic crests, with the central crest displaying the crowned Brunswick horse within a wreath. The peripheral legend in Latin reads IOHN. FRIEDRICH. D. G. DUX BRUNS. ET LUNEB., running clockwise within a beaded border.

Reverse description A large prancing horse leaping to the left — the iconic emblem of Brunswick-Lüneburg — occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with considerable artistic detail. The horse is enclosed within a decorative wreath of laurel and floral sprigs, tied at the base with a bow and punctuated by rosettes. The date ANNO 1665 is incorporated into the design, with ANNO appearing at the upper right and the numerals distributed along the left side of the wreath, all within a beaded border.
