| Obverse description | Central field displays the elaborate quartered arms of the Saxon dukes of Henneberg, surmounted by a large crowned helmet with ornate mantling and topped by an orb and cross finial. Two wild men (Wilden Männer) serve as heraldic supporters, one to each side, each grasping the shield. A decorative base with mining implements appears in the lower exergue. The circular Latin legend runs along the outer border, interrupted by the date 1693 divided across the upper field, all contained within a beaded inner border. |

| Reverse description | Central device depicts a crowned hen (the heraldic hen of Henneberg) standing on a mound of ore, facing right, rendered in fine detail with feathered wings spread slightly. Above the hen, radiating rays of divine light descend from the Tetragrammaton in Hebrew characters set at the apex within a glory. The mintmaster's initials BA appear in the lower exergue below the mound. The circular Latin legend surrounds the central device within a beaded inner border, referencing the fertility bestowed from heaven upon the mining yields. |
