| Obverse description | Facing busts of the two co-ruling dukes, Henry Wenceslaus and Charles Frederick, depicted facing one another in half-length portrait, both clad in elaborate Renaissance armour with richly detailed ruffs and mantles. The date 1620 appears in the lower field beneath the portraits, enclosed within a beaded inner border. The circumferential Latin legend reads D:G·HEINRI·WENC·ET·CAROL·FRIDE·FRAT·, identifying the two brothers by name and title. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border and an outer toothed rim, typical of early seventeenth-century Silesian thalers. |
