Obverse description A wildman, depicted standing upright and covered in foliage, serves as a heraldic supporter to the left of a large quartered coat of arms, the central escutcheon bearing the arms of Halberstadt. The shield displays the multiple dynastic quarters of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel and associated territories, surmounted by elaborate crested helmets. The circular Latin legend runs around the periphery within a beaded border, identifying the issuing ruler Henry Julius by his titles.
