| Obverse description | Large armored bust of Heinrich Julius facing left, depicted with flowing beard and ruffled collar beneath articulated pauldrons and gorget, the date divided to either side of the effigy within the field. The surrounding legend bearing the ruler's full titles runs clockwise in Latin along the inner border, separated by pellet stops. The coin exhibits the robust, high-relief portraiture characteristic of late sixteenth-century German taler coinage. |
