Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of King George V of Hanover in left-facing profile, with sideburns and a trimmed moustache, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair. The royal legend curves around the upper periphery, and the engraver's signature appears in small letters at the truncation. The mint mark 'B' (Hannover Mint) is positioned below the bust near the lower rim. The field is smooth and the coin is bordered by a uniform raised dentilated rim.
