Reverse description Seven-line memorial inscription in German occupying the central field, recording the birth and death of George Frederick I, flanked by a continuous circular Latin legend along the outer border. The inscription reads that he was born at Onolzbach (Ansbach) on 5 April 1539 and departed in God on 26 April 1603. The reverse typology follows standard German memorial Thaler conventions of the early seventeenth century, with the commemorative biographical text serving as the principal design element.
