Obverse description Half-length armored effigy of George Frederick I facing right, holding a mace raised over the right shoulder. The bust is rendered in typical late-Renaissance style with detailed plate armor. A beaded inner circle frames the central design, with a Latin legend commencing at 12 o'clock (1h position). The abbreviated legend reads: MO NO ARG GEOR F MAR BRAN Z SL DVC, identifying the ruler as Georg Friedrich, Margrave of Brandenburg and Duke of Silesia.
