Obverse description Armored half-length bust of George Frederick I, Margrave of Brandenburg and Duke of Jägerndorf, facing right, wearing elaborately articulated plate armor with a ruffled collar visible at the neck. The figure is rendered in the typical late Renaissance style of German Thaler portraiture. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy within a beaded border, reading MO NO AR GEO F MAR BR Z SLESI DVC, abbreviating his titles as Margrave of Brandenburg and Duke of Silesia.
