Reverse description The quartered oval arms of the Duchy of Liegnitz-Brieg occupy the center of the field, displaying the characteristic chequerboard and eagle motifs of the Piast dynastic coat of arms. Three ornate heraldic helmets surmount the shield, adorned with elaborate mantling and crests including an eagle's wing and a peacock-feather plume, rendered in high-relief baroque style. Mint-master initials EW flank the lower portion of the shield. The circumferential Latin legend, a devotional motto concluding with the date A. 1660, runs continuously around the beaded border.
