| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing portrait bust of King Frederick William III of Prussia, rendered in high relief with finely engraved hair and naturalistic facial features. The king is depicted with a short, curly coiffure and a slightly pointed chin. The circular legend reads FRIEDR. WILHELM III KOENIG V. PREUSSEN, separated from the portrait by a continuous inner beaded border. The mint mark A, denoting the Berlin Mint, appears in the lower exergual area beneath the truncation. The field is smooth and unadorned, lending prominence to the royal effigy. |
