Reverse description Elaborately quartered coat of arms of Saxe-Weimar, displaying the multiple heraldic divisions of the Ernestine Wettin line including the Saxon barry with a crancelin, the Thuringian lion, the Meissen eagle, and additional quarterings, all surmounted by a crowned helmet with ornate mantling and flanked by wildmen or heraldic supporters. The shield is rendered in fine detail in the hammered style typical of late 16th-century German thalers. A circular Latin legend surrounds the central armorial composition within a beaded border.
