Reverse description A crowned cartouche or frame divides the mint official's initials G and L at its sides. Within the frame, a five-line commemorative inscription records key dates in the life of Luise Henriette: her birth at The Hague on 17 November 1627, her marriage there on 27 November 1646, and her death at Cologne on the Spree on 8 June 1667. A second set of mint official's initials, I.L., appears below the frame. The design is characteristic of German memorial Thaler coinage of the late 17th century.
