| Obverse description | Laureate and draped armored bust of Frederick I, King of Prussia, facing right, with long flowing curled wig characteristic of the Baroque period. The king wears elaborately detailed plate armor with a lion-head pauldron visible at the shoulder. A laurel wreath crowns the head, and the effigy is rendered in high relief with fine engraving. The peripheral legend in Latin runs clockwise around the bust within a beaded inner border. |
