Reverse description Central field displays a large, elegantly scripted royal cypher comprising the interlaced monogram FR (Fridericus Rex), surmounted by a royal crown above. The monogram is encircled by the chain of the Order of the Black Eagle, composed of alternating eagle medallions and crowned FR devices. The divided date 17-05 appears in the lower field on either side of the chain's base, with the mintmaster's initials C - S placed below, flanking a Maltese cross ornament. The encircling legend SVVM CVIQVE, the motto of the Order of the Black Eagle, runs along the upper periphery.
