Obverse description Central shield bearing the quartered arms of Württemberg, surmounted by an elaborate crowned helm with crest featuring a pair of buffalo horns flanking a central charge, all supported by ornate scrolling mantling. Two heraldic supporters flank the achievement, with the ducal crown prominent above the helm. The circular legend reads FRIDERIC·S·D·G·DVX·WIRTEMB, rendered in Latin capitals distributed around the coin's periphery. The design is executed in the High Renaissance German style characteristic of early seventeenth-century Swabian coinage.
