Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Frederick I facing right, wearing a long flowing wig with elaborate curls falling to the shoulder, a laurel wreath adorning the head. The finely detailed portrait fills much of the field. The circular Latin legend reads FRIDERICUS D G REX BORVSS EL BR, separated by pellets, running along the inner border of a milled edge.

Reverse description Displayed Prussian eagle with wings spread, surmounted by a large royal crown at the top of the field. The eagle holds a sceptre in its right talon and an orb in its left talon, with a crowned escutcheon on its breast. The date 1 7 0 2 is arranged in the lower field flanking the eagle's legs, with the mintmaster initials C S below, all within a milled border.
