| Obverse description | Diamond-shaped (klippe) flan with a beaded inner border framing the central device. A large, elaborate interlaced cursive royal cypher of Friedrich August I — formed by intertwined 'FA' and 'R' letters rendered in foliate Baroque scrollwork — occupies the field. The cypher is surmounted by a large Electoral crown in high relief. Stylized floral or rosette ornaments appear at each of the four corners within the border. |
