Reverse description The crowned Saxon arms — a barry of ten or and sable with a crancelin — displayed at centre, flanked by two oak branches tied at their bases with a ribbon bow, their acorns and lobed leaves finely rendered in high relief. The royal crown surmounting the shield features a fleur-de-lis finial and beaded arches. The engraver's signature THOMAS. F: appears in small letters beneath the shield within the wreath. The date 1814 is placed in the exergue below the wreath, with the circular legend ZEHN EINE FEINE MARK running along the upper periphery within a beaded border, indicating the fineness standard of ten coins to the fine mark.
