The surrounding legend, divided across both sides, reads CAROL VI D.G.ROM:IMP // S.A.GER.HISP.HU.B.REX., citing Emperor Charles VI by his titles as Holy Roman Emperor and King of Spain, Germany, Hungary, and Bohemia. The eagle's wings are boldly spread and finely detailed in the baroque manner consistent with Prague Mint production of this period. |
