Obverse description Central device comprising a quartered armorial shield of ornate form, superimposed upon a crossed sword and crozier in saltire, symbolising temporal and ecclesiastical authority. Three elaborate crested helmets and a mitre rise above the shield as torse and mantling. The encircling Latin legend commemorates the jubilee celebration of the Reverend and Most Serene Prince Florenz, Abbot of Corvey and Prince of the Holy Roman Empire.
