| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Ferdinand III facing right, enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The emperor is depicted with a flat falling collar in the manner of the period. The encircling Latin legend is interrupted at the base by the mint mark of the Vienna mint master Johann Conrad Richthausen, rendered as a circle enclosing a triangle with a central dot. The portrait exhibits the formal, high-relief style characteristic of mid-17th century Habsburg imperial coinage. |
