Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Ferdinand II facing right, wearing a ruffled collar, within a beaded inner circle; the crown of the head breaks through the upper legend. The mint mark appears within the legend, dividing it. The portrait is rendered in the refined Renaissance court style typical of early seventeenth-century Habsburg coinage.
