Obverse description Armored half-length effigy of Archduke Ferdinand II facing right, depicted in ornate three-quarter armor decorated with three horizontal bands of engraved designs and a large rondel at the left shoulder pauldron. The portrait is rendered in a detailed Renaissance style characteristic of the Hall Mint's output. The legend surrounds the effigy within the field.
