Obverse description Armored and crowned half-length effigy of Archduke Ferdinand II facing right, holding a scepter in his right hand while his left hand rests upon the hilt of a sword at his side. The bust is rendered in the elaborate court style of the late Habsburg Renaissance, with finely detailed armor. The peripheral legend is separated from the central device and reads in Latin around the bust.
