Obverse description Right-facing armored bust of Emperor Ferdinand I, crowned with a laurel wreath, depicted in three-quarter length wearing elaborately engraved plate armor with a gorget and pauldrons visible in fine detail. The effigy is rendered in the Renaissance style, with the emperor holding a scepter in his right hand. A beaded inner border frames the bust, with the Latin legend encircling the periphery reading FERDI·D:G·ROVNG·BOE·DAL·CRO·Z&·REX, denoting his titles as King of Hungary, Bohemia, Dalmatia, and Croatia.
